Shayley Timm is a Wisconsin born, Seattle based artist who has been dancing for over twenty five years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cornish College of the Arts and also spent time at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, England where she studied Graham and Release Technique. Shayley has created and performed in work all over the US and has been featured in original pieces by Meredith Pellon, Alex Ung, Madeleine Gregor, Cyrus Khambatta, Kyoung-Shin Kim, Wade Madsen, Alicia Mullikan, Laura Ann Smyth, and more. Shayley has practiced Contemporary dance for well over half her lifetime and has also received many scholarships and awards including an Outstanding Dancer Award in 2017 and a Storytelling Award in 2013. Driven by music and the accidental nature of art, Shayley’s inspiration is often the commitment to overcoming and creating in ways that challenge her idea of beauty. She believes that art is her highest calling and feels privileged to devote her life to movement. Shayley is currently dancing for SLOWBURN Dance Company, the Guild Dance Company, Coriolis Dance Collective, as well as for many local festivals and collaborations in Seattle, WA.
